Autism Connection, powered by the Hunt-Sampey Events, LLC was created to provide Michigan resources to families, with emphasis on the siblings, who live with a brother or sister on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. We support many non-profit charities located in Michigan, providing events management, strategic planning, advertising, and public relations services.

We are passionate about raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and the public. Our goal is to educate and empower, families by providing resources for families who deal with Autism.

ABOUT THE INNOVATOR

Melissa Hunt-Sampey has a passion for giving back to the community and helping local Michigan non-profits through events management, strategic planning, marketing and PR to raise awareness for their cause. She has channeled her experience growing up with an autistic brother into advocacy in several ways, including organizing charity events, establishing and managing an autism foundation.

In addition to working with Hunt-Sampey Events, LLC Melissa has worked on-air and in production on two morning radio programs and currently develops comprehensive marketing and communication campaigns for a major regional health system in the Detroit area, where she utilizes her extensive public speaking, media, and public relations experience.

Hunt-Sampey earned a certificate from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts and graduated magna cum laude with an English degree from Eastern Michigan University. Hunt-Sampey is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, Women in Communications, and the Michigan Society for Healthcare Planning & Marketing. She sits on numerous boards and volunteers with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, where she mentors a little sister bi-weekly.

She is a mother, blogger, self-promoter, aspiring writer and events manager.
